Publicity & Media Relations

Carol Tedesco was hired as an independent contractor to execute a marketing plan for Wesley House Family Services 29th Annual Valentine's Day Gala. Her delivery of services far surpased our expectations.

Our request was given to Carol outlining a basic media placement calendar and print schedule to promote our event. Not only did she place our paid advertising and follow up with extreme attention to detail as to the content and placement of the ads, but she went the extra mile in garnering the support of local writers resulting in feature stories in several publications, and in one case front page coverage in one of the publications she solicited. Carol wrote interesting and accurate support for the event and accompanied them with fresh and exciting photos from several photo shoots which she personally styled. Her delivery of pre and post event photo material has now created a rich source for us to pull from when beginning our marketing plans for next year.

We are so pleased with our decision to hire Carol for this project. She was a valuable and present source from the planning stages, all the way through the event wrap up meeting. We give our sincerest recommendations to anyone considering her services to promote their business, or event.

Thank you Carol, for your contribution to our agency. Your hard work and dedication to this project greatly assisted us in the success of this Wesley House Family Services signature event.

Carol possesses an intuitive sense of what elements need to be in place for success. I recently asked her help with a book launch, Only in Key West, a mystery that involved the kidnapping of Sushi, a well-known drag queen. Carol took some eye-catching photos and wrote a clever press release that got the attention of the Keys media. Having the event at the 801 Cabaret during Pride Week in the same room where the Stoli Bartenders Competition took place was perfect. The atmosphere was festive, sample drinks were free, and I sold an impressive amount of books. Most important, everyone had a great time and I attribute the success of that event to Carol’s keen timing, great photos, and experience. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and I would use her again in a heartbeat. I recommend her highly for any event you want to get noticed.

I have known Carol Tedesco for perhaps 20 years. During that time I have had numerous opportunities to work with her on marketing certain businesses in which I was either the client, or knew the client. I can say without hesitation that she insists on every detail being perfect and will not settle for “almost perfect.” Not only is her work great, she also is acutely aware of scheduling and time constraints. When she says it will be done, it will in fact be done. Carol is highly ethical and her word is her bond.  If I had the capacity and work, I would buy all her time so she could only work for me!

Carol Tedesco was involved in various areas of Nutcracker Key West production in 2007, 2008, and 2009 and was instrumental in making Nutcracker Key West a success. Talented in many areas, she wrote press releases and two feature articles that ran as cover stories in local magazines. She designed our first web site, expanding our range of advertising. Carol created a photo library of images that have appeared in both local and national publications and are still in use today. All of her work was of the highest quality, undertaken with professional ease and delivered on schedule.

In addition to her paid services, Carol contributed her expertise in design and organization, helping with fundraisers and special events to support Nutcracker Key West in its formative years, helping create the strong organization it has become.

A pleasure to work with, her pleasant, professional personality is an asset to any project.

As a publicist, Carol's clients have included treasure hunters, rock stars, dogs, muscle men, authors, ballerina's, fairies and artists, though not necessarily in that order. As a professional photographer, she captures compelling images to accompany well-crafted text for strategic distribution to media outlets.

Carol Tedesco was a true catalyst for our company Blue Water Ventures of Key West, Inc. She took our existing web site, got it organized, easy to follow, filled it with wonderful pictures, and basically revitalized a very important part of our business model. Her historical knowledge of shipwrecks and of the life and times surrounding the 17th and 18th centuries gave Blue Water an edge that most of our colleagues did not have. With each new discovery that Blue Water made, Carol got our breaking news out to press wires and media outlets worldwide. She handled these events with the urgency needed, but also with accuracy and flair.

Brilliantly creative, Carol Tedesco knows how to get publicity. Thanks to her clever photos and press releases in which she "interviewed" my bichon, Angel, about her canine desires to be queen of the "Fur Ball," a charity event for a local animal shelter, Angel was overwhelmingly elected, resulting in many contributions in her name. I would trust Carol to expertly carry out any publicity campaign -- for events, humans, animals, and yes, even aliens from outer space.
